Queeriosity is a social game for LGBTQ+ identifying folks to play with friends, partners, chosen family or even (soon to be not) strangers. It’s a game created by us, for us, about us. A lot of heart went into making this, and we hope you laugh a little, cry a little and feel feels. We suggest playing with 2-8 players to give everyone a chance to exchange tender moments, but there’s no maximum group size!
Many of the cards are written with drinking prompts, but we know that not everyone partakes. Feel free to replace drinking with whatever fits for you. Here are some suggested alternatives:
- Make it a meal, sip a cup of soup
- Make it a workout, do a push-up
- Make it hydrating, down some water
- Make it a competition, use a point system
The rules are simple. Shuffle your deck. Everyone takes a turn drawing a card and reading it out loud. There are 6 possible categories that can be drawn with different prompts:
Likeliness: The group determines who they think would be the most likely to match the prompt on the card. If you’re selected , you drink.
Quiz: The person who draws the card selects who will answer the question or compete in the challenge on the card. If they get it wrong or lose, they drink. If they get it right or win, you drink.
Honesty: The person who draws the card selects who of the group they’d like to ask the question to. Tell the story, speak your truth!
Discussion: The card is meant to prompt the whole group to engage in a conversation about the topic. Consider this a challenge relief card, and drink at your own pace throughout.
Partake: The person who draws the card asks the whole group to “Drink if ____”. If you fit the bill, take a sip.
This/That: Each member of the group votes on which scenario from the card they would rather do. If you are on the side with the lowest amount of votes, you drink.
We tried to keep questions inclusive to whatever your queer is, but feel free to personalize to make them more relatable to you!
